GREETINGS

Greetings, ISP members: After a summer recharging your battery(ies), I hope that those of you in academe are gearing up for a productive "policy" year with ISP assisting you in whatever way we can. To all of our "friends" and NASW chapters, we know your calendar is driven by other forces and I hope that you have been able to alter or influence them in some appreciable way to help you achieve your goals. ISP is preparing for many initiatives and we encourage you to assist us by participating in them and persuading others to enter the policy arena in some meaningful way. Below are several items to be aware of:

ISP WEBSITE

All programs of social work education, Liaisons are urged to make the ISP website, http://statepolicy.org, the portal to policy information for ALL students. This initiative for 2005-06 will be promoted throughout the year, but we should all begin encouraging faculty and students to visit our website and see the many resources available there and urge students to return and return to it. Send an email around......speak up at faculty and student meetings....get the Dean/Director to mention it.....show the website and its contents during classes or meetings.....do something.
